Azerbaijani referees will not participate in the qualifying round matches of the 3x3 basketball World Championship among men and women, which will be held in Baku on May 24-25.
The chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, Alakbar Hasanov, informed "Report" about this.
He stated that previously two referees from our country had licenses for 3x3 basketball:
"Ruslan Khaligov and I had a license. We received it in 2015 during the European Games held in Baku. However, since there were no assignments for 5-6 years, we did not apply for a new license. The representatives of justice who will come to the capital will be known a week before the start of the competition."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani women's national team will face Canada and Great Britain in Group B, and the men's team will face Latvia and Egypt.
