The reason why the "Lankaran" club stopped competing in the play-in stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball League was the losses in the squad. Sport24.az reports that the team's head coach Georgi Kondrusevich said this after the second game with "Ganja".
The specialist also did not forget to thank the fans:
"The season can be divided into two parts - before and after the New Year. These are two different teams and the reasons were the losses in the squad. I would like to thank the fans of "Lankaran" for their support even in the most difficult times. They were really great. Everyone tried today, but the opponent was superior to us in almost everything. I wish "Ganja" success in the next stage. I would also like to especially mention our players. Because it is not easy to fight both physically and psychologically in the current circumstances. They tried and fought until the end, so I thank them".
It should be noted that "Lankaran" stopped the fight by losing to "Ganja" in both matches (55:91, 77:101) in the play-in stage.
