The level of some players in the "Lankaran" basketball club does not allow the team to fully realize its potential.
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by the club's head coach Georgi Kondrusevich in a statement to the club's press service.
The specialist assessed the defeat to "Sumgayit" in the VI round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League:
"Yes, we fought... but more with ourselves. Unfortunately, at the current stage, the level of some players does not allow the team to fully realize its potential. We were unable to do what we worked on and planned.
We cannot single out any basketball player in the opponent. We generally had difficulties with all of their players. If you want to beat the opponent, it is unacceptable to concede so many points. It is also necessary to pay attention to the free throws made by the opponent and us."
It should be noted that the match "Lankaran" - "Sumgayit" ended with a score of 98:94 in favor of the guests.
