An Indian basketball player died after a basketball hoop fell on him during practice. Sport24.az reports that he hung from the hoop in the air after throwing the ball.
The hoop, which was not in good condition, broke and fell on the player. Although the athlete was taken to the hospital within 20 minutes, he died from his injuries.
The deceased basketball player was among the candidates to be invited to his country's U-16 national team.
It should be noted that the sports hall where the incident took place has been closed.
