On March 2, a 3x3 basketball tournament among media representatives was held within the framework of "Sports Week" jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation.
İdman.Biz reports that men's and women's teams from 17 media organizations competed in the tournament held at the European Games Park.
Women competed individually, determining the winners by throwing the ball into the basket. Employees of the "Telegraf" Agency, Narmin Muradova and Royana Bakirli, took first and second places, respectively. Leyla Eminova (İdman.Biz) was awarded third place.
Among men, the "Khazar" team, consisting of Khazar TV employees Mehman Rasulov and Ali Jafarov, İTV employee Nihat Ismayilov, and Azerisport.com sports portal employee Mirbaghiragha Jafarizadeh, took first place. The "Report" Information Agency team, consisting of Kenan Hasanov, Saljuk Elchin, Tuncay Turbandazadeh, and Nihat Piriyev, which reached the final, took second place. The "Telegraf" team, consisting of Emin Safarov, Elnur Mukhtarly, Ali Shayaldiyev (all three from the "Telegraf" Information Agency), and Asif Narimanli (Publika.az), was awarded third place.
