"Even though I am a new player in the team, I quickly felt the atmosphere of friendship. Both foreigners and locals work together as a team, both on and off the field. There is still a long season ahead, and I think we will be fully strong physically and mentally." Sport24.az reports that this was said by "Sumgayit" basketball player Huseyn Qaflanov in a statement to the club's press service.
He called Sumgayit's victory in the last two games a boost for development:
"The last two games were successful for our team. Under the leadership of our coach, we worked together as a team and showed our strength. These games were very important to me because I got used to the team game and my teammates. We intend to continue our winning streak."
Qaflanov believes that they will win in the game against "Nakhchivan", which will be held in the VII round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League:
"Currently, "Nakhchivan" is one of the leaders of Group B. However, we have prepared well for this game and we are only thinking about victory. Our squad is a bit smaller compared to other teams, but all the players are healthy and ready."
It should be noted that the match "Sumgayit" - "Nakhchivan" will be held tomorrow at the Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex.
