Halil Atlı: "They didn't cause me any problems"

"When I came here, there was a Ganja that was resentful of basketball."

İdman.biz reports that this was stated by Halil Atlı, the head coach of "Ganja", in his statement to the club's press service.

He commented on their elimination from the Azerbaijan Basketball League's play-off stage after losing to "Shaki". According to the Turkish specialist, he did his best to make the fans happy: "First of all, I thank the fans who supported us throughout the season. We tried to make them happy. This championship, I saw a team that regained people's love with the work we did. For myself, I can say that I am very happy with the team I built. I am grateful to my players for their character and the fight they gave. They didn't cause me any problems. I express my gratitude to the technical staff, my assistant, our manager, the doctor, and everyone who helped us. We wanted to do good things for "Ganja" this season. Looking back, I see that we managed to create a team that played in the cup final and qualified for the play-offs."

Atlı recalled that his main goal when coming to "Ganja" was to play in the play-offs: "We achieved this wish. I ask all the fans for their forgiveness. As a coach, I tried to do my best. We thought about how to overcome the difficulties, how to further develop the good things we did. I also thank the federation management, they created good opportunities for us to operate."

It should be noted that "Ganja" lost to "Shaki" with a score of 1:2 in the play-off stage series.
