"Ganja"'s victory in the Azerbaijan Basketball Cup is the result of perseverance, fighting spirit, and the highest level of support shown by the club's management.
Elnur Jafarov, the executive director of the regional representative, stated this in an interview with "Report".
He recalled that this achievement is the club's second great success:
"Ganja also won the cup in 2023. After the team's management was transferred to the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Science and Education Employees, attention to the club increased and the highest level of support was provided. As a result, we became the winner of the Azerbaijan Cup in a short time. Our efforts were not in vain. We won thanks to perseverance, fighting spirit, and, of course, the support provided by the club's management. We have an excellent team. Our coaches and players are capable of coping with the tasks assigned to them. We congratulate all "Ganja" fans."
E. Jafarov also spoke about future plans and Eurocup prospects:
"Of course, we have plans for the next seasons. Our goal is to compete in Europe under the name of Azerbaijan, Ganja in the future. We would be happy if we achieve this. The fight in the league is currently ongoing. We must also be in high places in the championship in order to claim something. Because the ticket to Europe is determined based on the results in the championship. You can think about plans after winning a ticket to the Eurocups."
It should be noted that "Ganja" defeated "Sabah" with a score of 89:82 in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup.
