FIBA Secretary General visits Azerbaijan

Today, a meeting was held between the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) Emin Amrullayev and other officials of the federation with the Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Andreas Zagklis, 3×3 basketball competitions manager Ms. Yovana Vukoye, and the Commercial Director of the Basketball Champions League, Benjamin Goute. According to Sport24.az, the development of 3×3 basketball in Azerbaijan and the existing prospects in this field, as well as the participation of young basketball players in the Basketball Champions League, were widely discussed during the meeting.

The parties emphasized the importance of the intensive participation of Azerbaijani professional basketball clubs in international arenas, especially the Basketball Champions League, in the coming seasons, and exchanged views on possible steps and potential cooperation opportunities in this direction. At the same time, the meeting discussed the organized development of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL), the improvement of the league's structure, increasing commercial potential, aligning the management and infrastructure levels of local clubs with international standards, and the overall basketball development strategy in the country.
