The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has disqualified 7 players due to a mass brawl that occurred during the match between Argentina and the Dominican Republic national teams in the FIBA AmeriCup.
"Report" informs, citing the organization's press service, that sanctions have been applied to 4 players from the Dominican Republic national team and 3 from Argentina.
One basketball player from each team was disqualified for two games, while the other participants in the incident were disqualified for one game.
The Dominican Republic team has been fined 20,000 Swiss francs, 10,000 of which are a suspended sentence with a three-year probationary period.
