The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) may suspend the participation of Israeli teams in competitions if the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommends it.
Idman.biz reports that "Mundo Deportivo" has reported this.
"The reality of the current situation is that FIBA adheres to the principles and recommendations of the IOC. Only these recommendations can change the situation. Currently, there are no changes regarding Israel. For now, there are no restrictions for Israeli athletes or teams," a FIBA representative told "Mundo Deportivo."
The issue of suspending the activities of Israeli teams is related to the situation in the Gaza Strip.
