The Azerbaijani women's basketball team will fight to the end and put all its strength to achieve results.
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by the head coach of the team, Evren Alkaya, in a statement to journalists.
He spoke about the national team's preparation for the qualifying round of the "FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027" European Championship:
"We are seriously preparing for the matches. We are the youngest team in the tournament and most of our players are 18-19 years old. There are difficult matches ahead, all three of our opponents are fighting to advance to the next stage. But we also plan to show our games and leave the field with the best result. We have analyzed the opponents and we will have a national team that fights to the end in the game and does its best to win the result."
It should be noted that the team will compete against the teams of Bulgaria, Montenegro and Ukraine in Group E of the qualifying round. The team will face Bulgaria on November 12 and Montenegro on November 15. Azerbaijan will play its next game in the group against Ukraine on the road.
