The EuroLeague has officially informed the NBA that it may initiate legal proceedings regarding the American league's negotiations with European clubs.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Eurohoops, the EuroLeague is protesting the NBA's negotiations with clubs that have already signed long-term contracts to participate in Europe's premier competition.
Clubs that have already confirmed their participation in the EuroLeague through long-term contracts are considered bound by existing obligations. Any negotiations regarding a move to an alternative tournament could be considered a breach of contract. Therefore, the EuroLeague is considering legal action to protect its interests.
It is reported that NBA and FIBA representatives have already held talks with "Real Madrid", "Barcelona", and "Fenerbahce", although no final decisions have been made by these clubs yet.
