The Euroleague, Europe's elite basketball tournament, will increase the number of participating teams from 18 to 20 starting from the 2025/2026 season.
İdman.biz reports that "Valencia", "Hapoel Tel Aviv" and "Dubai" will also join the competition in the new season.
"Alba" voluntarily left the tournament and switched to the FIBA Champions League.
The format of the upcoming season will not change: 6 teams will directly qualify for the playoffs, and an additional 4 teams will compete in the play-in stage. Instead of 34 rounds, 38 will be held - nine of them in the form of double games. In 2026, the "Final Four" will be held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
