The draw ceremony for the new season of the Azerbaijan Basketball Cup has taken place.
Idman.Biz reports that the event was held at the Baku Sports Hall.
The ceremony began with the singing of the National Anthem. Then, a video about the teams that will participate in the tournament was shown. After that, the draw ceremony was held and the matches were determined.
According to the results of the draw, the teams "Absheron", "Sabah", "Ordu" and "Ganja" will join the competition directly from the 1/4 final stage.
In the 1/8 final stage, the pairs "Shaki" - "Sarhadchi", "Neftchi" - "Lankaran", NTD - "Sumgayit" and "Nakhchivan" - "Guba" will face each other.
It should be noted that the 1/8 final stage games are scheduled to be held on January 13–14, and the 1/4 final matches on February 18–22.
