Country Hosting "Grand Swiss" Tournament Determined

The country hosting the prestigious "Grand Swiss" tournament for men and women has been determined. Sport24.az reports that the press service of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released information about this. The competition will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from September 3-15. The top 2 finishers in both the women's and men's competitions will qualify directly for the Candidates Tournament in 2026.
