Kawhi Leonard, forward for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers, was allegedly supposed to receive an additional $20 million through company stock in addition to a $28 million endorsement deal with Aspiration.
İdman.biz reports that the Boston Sports Journal reported this. Thus, the total amount of compensation promised to Leonard reached $48 million.
It is reported that Kawhi was supposed to receive payments through shares over four years. However, since the shares were not sold, payments on them never started. It is also noted that Leonard did not receive the full $28 million promised.
Earlier, journalist Pablo Torre reported on Leonard's fake contract with Aspiration. It is alleged that everything happened with the help of Clippers owner Steve Ballmer in order to exceed the salary cap.
The NBA has already launched an investigation into the matter.
