Chauncey Billups, 49-year-old NBA champion and former head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, has pleaded not guilty in New York federal court to charges of illegal betting and gambling.
According to İdman.Biz, Billups has been indicted in New York federal court on charges of money laundering and wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported that the judge set Billups' bail at $5 million, and his home in Colorado was used as collateral. His wife and daughter co-signed the bail.
