"Sabah"'s head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis commented on the game in which they became champions by defeating "Neftchi" (83:78) in the final series of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
"Report" informs that the expert said in a statement to the club's press service that the competition was difficult:
"This year the championship was very strong. The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation has done a great job. I thank the "Neftchi" team for their fighting spirit in the final. I congratulate our team on this success. I thank the team members for their efforts," he said.
It should be noted that six games were held between the parties. The "owls", who won the fourth victory in the decisive series, won gold medals. In the previous 5 meetings between the parties, "Sabah" won 3 and "Neftchi" won 2.
