The Azerbaijani U18 girls' basketball team achieved a hard-fought victory in their first game of the European Championship Division B, marking a first in the history of women's basketball in the country. Sport24.az reports that the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), Emin Amrullayev, wrote about this on his personal Facebook account.
The head of the ABF congratulated the team on their historic victory: "Well done, congratulations to you. Our great victories are yet to come. Good luck".
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday with a score of 83:81. The team will play its next group game today against the Ukrainian national team at 21:30 Baku time.
