Former basketball player and "Houston Rockets" player Charles Barkley stated that the star players themselves are to blame for the implementation of the strict salary cap rule.
Idman.biz reports that Barkley primarily blamed NBA legend LeBron James.
"Why did they have to implement these stupid rules? Because all these kids want to play together instead of competing. How many great players does a team need? Why did Adam Silver want to introduce all these rules? Because LeBron brought all his guys together.
Wait, don't you just want to play against each other and win championships by competing? Don't be angry with Adam Silver because you all want to unite and dominate the league, but you don't want to compete.
When LeBron started doing this with Bosh and Wade, it was the first wave. The second step was Kevin Durant going to the Warriors. Adam Silver had to do something; we can't allow one team to keep all the good players.
This is a fake rule, I agree, but Adam Silver would never have come up with this rule if all these kids didn't want to play together," Barkley said.
