Adebayo finished the match with 83 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, significantly improving his previous personal record of 41 points.
With this, he surpassed Kobe Bryant, who scored 81 points in 2006. The NBA record for the most points in a single game belongs to Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in 1962.
Adebayo also broke league records with 43 free throw attempts and 36 points from those shots.
