The roster for the Azerbaijan national basketball team for the European Championship qualifying stage has been announced.
Tahir Bakhshiyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan men's national basketball team, has announced the extended roster for the Euro-2029 preliminary qualifying stage matches against Ireland and North Macedonia.
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation, that the roster includes four players from "Sabah", two each from "Neftchi", "Ganja", "Shaki", and "Absheron Lions", and one player each from "Ordu", "NTD", and the Spanish club "Tenerife".
Amil Hamzayev, Akbar Mammadov, Emmanuel Agbason, Endar Poladkhanli, Shirzad Shirzadov, Kamran Mammadov, Ulaş Turgut, Jabrayil Akbarov, Elshad Shirzadov, Wesley Van Beck, Derin Berkoz, Rashid Abbasov, Ercan Donat, Ismayil Abdullayev, and Saadettin Donat have been invited to the national team.
It should be noted that although Akbar Mammadov and Ismayil Abdullayev were included in the extended roster, they were unable to continue the training camp due to injuries.
