The roster and match dates have been determined for the Azerbaijan women's 3x3 basketball national team, which will compete in the FIBA Champions Cup for the first time. Sport24.az reports that the team will compete in the tournament, which will be held for the second time, with a roster consisting of Arika Carter, Aleksandra Mollenhauer, Tatyana Deniskina, and Brianna Fraser.
The national team, placed in Group B, will first face Canada and Thailand on March 13. The meetings will start at 13:20 and 16:05, respectively. On March 14, the next opponent will be Spain. This match will start at 12:30.
It should be noted that the winner of the tournament will have the right to participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which grants qualification for the FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2027, the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2027, and the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
