The Azerbaijan men's national basketball team continues its training camp in Baku ahead of the preliminary qualifying round for EuroBasket 2029.
Idman.Biz reports that head coach Tahir Bakhshiyev has invited 20 basketball players to the preparation process. The list includes Amil Hamzayev, Shirzad and Elshad Shirzadov, Akbar and Kamran Mammadov, Tariyel Yusifzade, Ramazan Garayev, Huseyn Gaflanov, Saadettin Donat, Jabrail Akbarov, Ulas Turgut, Emmanuel Agbason, Imayil Abdullayev, Derin Berkoz, Huseyn Mammadov, Ercan Donat, Muhammad Huseynli, Said Ismayilov, Rashid Abbasov and Ender Poladkhanli.
The team's new member from the USA, Wesley Van Beck, will join the team in North Macedonia. At the end of the training camp, the final squad of 12 players will be determined.
The preparation process will continue until November 25.
It should be noted that our national team will play its first match in the qualifying round on November 27 against North Macedonia at 22:00 Baku time, and its second match on November 30 against Luxembourg in Baku at 18:00 Baku time.
