The Azerbaijani national team, consisting of female basketball players under 16, will compete in Division B of the European Championship for the first time.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation told "Report" about this.
The Division B matches will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from August 20-29.
The Azerbaijani team will compete against Sweden, the Netherlands, Slovakia, and Luxembourg in Group B.
The team, led by Turkish expert Evren Alkaya, will play its first match in the group on August 20 against Sweden.
