The final pre-season seminar for referees of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) was held on September 20-21 at the Baku Sports Hall.
"Report" informs that 13 referees participated in the seminar held under the leadership of Alakbar Hasanov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Basketball Referees Association and FIBA national instructor. During the seminar, the innovations introduced by FIBA and the main details of the game were explained to the referees. At the end of the seminar, the referees passed test exams on both physical fitness and game rules.
It should be noted that Turgay Zeytingöz, sports director of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation, and Vitaliy Stepanovski, the Ukrainian head coach of the "Neftchi" basketball club, participated in the seminar as guests and closely observed the seminar.
