Anar Sariyev, the head coach of the "Serhedchi" team, explained the reasons for their defeat to "Quba" (76:98) in the 1st round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League. Sport24.az reports that the expert made a statement to the club's press service about this.
The head coach said that they faced some problems:
"I expected such a game. Because in these 20 days we neither held a preparation match, nor could we do anything else. Some of our players also arrived late. There were certain difficulties and it was normal for team members not to understand each other".
Sariyev stated that he did not like the fact that local players could not use the balls under the basket and take rebounds: "I think we will fix all these problems and show good results in the next games".
