Lankaran basketball player Nmeso Nnebedum believes that the Azerbaijani championship is very competitive. Sport24.az reports that the American player said this in an interview with the club's press service.
He said that all the teams competing in the championship are strong:
"I try to develop myself as much as possible, to be the best of the team. I don't want to look too far into the future, but I want us to have a successful season, both as a team and individually. This will help me play at the highest level possible and become a good basketball player. The Azerbaijani championship is very competitive. All the teams, both at the top and at the bottom, are strong. There are players of different levels here, and everyone is ready to compete. Our goal is to be fully prepared for the upcoming game with "Quba", to win and show our potential. To be successful, you need to learn to fight through difficulties, and I think we are going through this stage right now."
The basketball player also shared his thoughts about Lankaran:
"Before joining the team, I did some research. I learned that Lankaran is a rural area with a tropical climate and is known for its fruits and tea. I like it here. It's a quiet place, and the people are very friendly. My favorite place is the shopping center in the city center. My favorite food is chicken kebab."
The American player also distinguished Baku:
"Baku is a bigger city. I would compare it to Chicago. It's a place with a lot of traffic and congestion day and night. Lankaran is a quieter region, full of nature and animals. I like Baku more than Lankaran. But I know that Lankaran is a very beautiful place to relax (laughs)."
