The "Absheron Lions" basketball club is currently not in its best form.
"Report" reports that the team's head coach, Erhan Toker, made a statement to the press service about this.
The Turkish specialist shared his thoughts on the first game of the first qualifying round of the European Cup against the Cypriot representative "Anorthosis" today:
"We will be playing a very important match. It is a bit difficult to play a qualifying match on the European stage before the league starts. Of course, we are not in top form in the full sense. We will try to be in the most optimal form as much as we can until match time."
E.Toker said that they will only see their mistakes and weaknesses in this match:
"We want to go on the road with a favorable result. As for the opponent's squad, they have 3-4 local players along with legionnaires. They were also in the squad last year. I hope everything will continue as we want."
It should be noted that the "Absheron Lions" - "Anorthosis" match, which will be held today at the Baku Sports Hall, will start at 19:00. The second match between the teams will be held on October 1 in Limassol.
