The "Absheron Lions" team wants to win in European tournaments.
According to "Report", Erhan Toker, the head coach of the "Absheron Lions" basketball club, stated this in a statement to the club's press service.
The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the FIBA European Cup main stage game in which they lost to "Neftchi":
"I congratulate 'Neftchi'. We couldn't play as well as we thought. Some players' performances were not at the desired level. Aubri Makalpay had an injury. He played, but did not have the desired effect. Gediminas Orelik was also not effective. We didn't play a good game in defense against the opponent we knew from the beginning. 'Neftchi's' shots were very good. It became difficult for us to reach them. From now on, we will try to win in our matches in Europe. We will not turn back. We represent Azerbaijan and we have a great desire to win in such a tournament. I wish 'Neftchi' success."
Note that the match "Absheron Lions" - "Neftchi" ended with a score of 104:86 in favor of the "white-blacks".
