Vugar Azimov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), shared his thoughts on the Baku stage of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.
The ABF official gave an interview to "Report" about this.
He recalled that the tournament has been held in Baku for the third year:
"The teams that come to our country are always satisfied with the organization. International competitions in Azerbaijan are always organized at a high level. We thank the management of "Sea Breeze" for hosting and for the created conditions. This year, stages of the World Women's Series will also be held in the cities of Sumgayit and Guba".
The ABF official spoke about the performance of the Azerbaijani national team in the tournament:
"It is gratifying that our national team advanced from the group and qualified for the 1/4 finals. Our players did their best. Everything can change suddenly in this sport. We would like to achieve better results. But Latvia is considered one of the leaders in the world ranking. Our 3x3 national basketball teams, both women's and men's, will participate in the qualifying stage of the European Championship. We hope that they will return from this competition with good results."
