It is necessary to use the services of foreign basketball players to perform successfully at the Olympics.
"Report" reports that this was said by ABF President Emin Amrullayev at an event dedicated to the opening of the new season of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
He said that they are sometimes criticized for involving foreign players in the national team:
"We want to take advantage of the services of players who can benefit Azerbaijani basketball. If we want to participate in a prestigious competition such as the Olympics and achieve some success, we sometimes have to use the services of foreign players. We believe that over time our basketball players will reach the necessary form and we will achieve success with them".
