Ethan Distras, a 20-year-old forward from Connors College (USA), has died after suffering a head injury during a game against Grayson College. The incident happened on November 23.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the press service of Connors College, Distras died on the morning of November 25, despite medical assistance.
The school's press service expressed condolences to the deceased's family, team, and the entire basketball community:
"We are saddened by the loss of Ethan. His passion for the game, hard work, and personal qualities will leave an indelible mark on our community."
Bill Muse, the head coach of the college's basketball team, also listed Distras' qualities:
"Ethan Distras was the player any coach dreamed of. He was talented in both sports and academics and understood the value of hard work. His smile showed that he was completely dedicated to the job. He was a person of character and a great teammate. Our hearts and prayers are with Ethan's family, friends, and team."
