Our wrestlers who will participate in the Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have been determined.
Idman.Biz reports that 18 of our representatives will take to the mat from November 18 to 21.
In freestyle wrestling, under the leadership of head coach Khetag Gazyumov, senior coach Jabrayil Hasanov and coach Sharif Sharifov, Islam Bazarganov (57 kg), Ali Rahimov (65 kg), Aghanazar Novruzov (74 kg), Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg), Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) will be among the participants.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, under the leadership of head coach Aleksandr Tarakanov, senior coach Rovshan Bayramov and coach Hasan Aliyev, Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), Ulvi Ganizade (77 kg), Islam Abbasov (87 kg), Murad Ahmadiev (97 kg) and Beka Kandelaki (130 kg) will participate in the competition.
In women's wrestling, under the leadership of acting head coach Togrul Asgarov, senior coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev and coach Solmaz Adilova, Elnura Mammadova (50 kg), Gultekin Shirinova (53 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg), Nigar Mirzazade (68 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (76 kg) will be among the participants.
It should be noted that the competition will only be held in Olympic weights.
