Idman.Biz reports that our representatives achieved a historic success by winning 3 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in the last World Cup of the year, which lasted from October 20 to 27.
Thus, this result is our best result in terms of the quality of medals in the history of the U23 world championships held since 2017.
In this competition, Azerbaijan took 4th place after Japan (6-1-3), Iran (5-2-5) and the USA (5-2-4).
Let us remind you that Elmir Aliyev (55 kg), Ziya Babashov (63 kg) and Kenan Heybatov (70 kg) became world champions in Novi Sad. Khetaq Karsanov (125 kg) won a silver medal. Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) and Ali Tsokayev (86 kg) took the 3rd step of the podium.
