Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Alessandro Orefice, the head coach of the Slovenian women's volleyball team, after the first stage of the European Golden League.
The Slovenian team, which played two matches in Baku, defeated both the host Azerbaijan team and Hungary with a score of 3:0. Nevertheless, Orefice emphasized the game of the Azerbaijani team: "I don't want it to sound like an excuse, but we are not in full form yet. Azerbaijan played well, and now we need to work hard to prepare well for the second stage of the tournament."
He also touched upon the importance of the victory in Baku: "I am very happy about this victory, because it was important both in terms of rating and for our confidence. This was the first stage of the competition. We did not play at our full strength, and I think that other games will be more difficult for us. We have a trip to Portugal ahead of us."
