Azerbaijani cyclist Natalya Vallek has stated that she is happy to have achieved a historic result at the "GranFondo" Başkent cycling race held in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

A member of the Young Professional Cyclists Public Union shared her impressions of the tournament she won: "My success is due to the correct program developed by my coach Musa Mikayilzade and the perseverance I showed. I am happy to have achieved a historic result. It was a difficult race. Because there were very strong rivals there. They have always been ambitious in tournaments and are fighting for first place. My coach set a strategic task for me. I did everything to avoid losing this victory for our country and team."
Vallek also spoke about her future goals: "I want to win all the tournaments I participate in. And I am ready to do everything possible to do this. Once an athlete succeeds, they should strive for new achievements. I am currently continuing to train. I also plan to be among the prize winners in major competitions."
It should be noted that Natalya Vallek entered the history of Azerbaijani cycling as the first athlete to win first place in the international "GranFondo" race. Our representative covered a distance of 91 km, passed through mountainous roads with an altitude gain of 1300 meters, and reached the finish line before everyone else. She also took 1st place in her age category.
