Rufat Efendiyev, Deputy Executive Director of AMADA, participated in the meeting of the Council of Europe's Anti-Doping Convention's Science Advisory Group (T-DO SCI) in Paris, the capital of France.
Idman.biz reports that representatives of national anti-doping organizations from more than 10 countries and representatives of laboratories accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) gathered at the event organized at the Council of Europe office to determine scientific priorities for 2025–2027.
The agenda included a review of the Group's priority areas, the results of a recent survey, and discussions on the action plan.
The meeting also discussed the issue of making scientific contributions to the new World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, which will enter into force in 2027, innovations related to laboratories, technical documents, and key changes planned during the next Code reform period. Preparation for the "International Conference on Prohibited Substances" to be held in 2026 in cooperation with the MEDICRIME Convention was also in focus.
The event concluded with a session on the coordination of investigations with the presentation of new tools, including the "Dynamic Panel on Anti-Doping Inquiry" and other tools.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of science-based policies for protecting clean sport in Europe and ensuring public health.
