The World Universiade will start tomorrow in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
Idman.biz reports that the second group of Azerbaijani athletes has successfully arrived in Düsseldorf and will soon join the competition.
The artistic gymnastics and taekwondo teams traveled through Istanbul on a transit flight. After arriving in Turkey, the athletes boarded a plane to Düsseldorf a few hours later. The flight also included athletes from various countries – Turkey, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Macau. Passengers spent their time differently: most rested, while some watched movies on tablets.
Düsseldorf welcomed the athletes with beautiful weather.
The team is now preparing to go through accreditation and head to their accommodation.
Note that the opening ceremony of the Universiade will take place tomorrow in Duisburg.
