Our Paralympians finished the European Youth Paralympic Games held in Istanbul, Turkey with 13 medals.
According to "Report", citing the press service of the National Paralympic Committee, the Azerbaijani national team, which debuted at the 7th European Youth Paralympic Games, won 4 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze medals in the games, where it was represented by 17 athletes in 7 sports.
Sabir Zeynalov (parataekwondo, K44, 58 kg), Amin Aliyev (parataekwondo, K44, 63 kg), Samaya Hasanova (parataekwondo, K44, 47 kg) and Aisha Arabova (para athletics, long jump, T11) won gold, Orkhan Jafarov (parataekwondo, K44, 80 kg), Ali Valiyev (para swimming, born in 2009-2013, S10, 100 meters "butterfly") silver, Aykhan Nuruyev (parataekwondo, K44, 58 kg), Amin Shikhaliyev (parataekwondo, K44, 63 kg), Imran Baghirov (parataekwondo, K44, 70 kg), Omar Gurbanov (parajudo, J2, 62 kg), Huseyn Ismayilzade (parajudo, K44, 70 kg) and Ali Valiyev (para swimming, S10, born in 2009-2013, 100 meters freestyle, 400 meters freestyle) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that about 700 athletes from 33 countries competed in the tournament.
