According to information provided by ESPN from multiple sources, the "Los Angeles Lakers" NBA basketball team has been sold to American businessmen Josh Kushner and Bob Iger for a price over $12 billion.
Sports.Biz reports that Kushner and Iger previously participated in the NBA's expansion in Las Vegas, but unexpectedly last year made an aggressive offer to buy the "Lakers" from Mark Walter, who had acquired a controlling stake from the Bass family.
Walter is the CEO and chairman of TWG Global, which has stakes in the "Los Angeles Dodgers", "Los Angeles Sparks", "Chelsea", and other sports organizations.
