Manchester City midfielder Calvin Phillips has joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Sport.Biz reports that the midfielder previously played for Blades in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
"This is exactly what I wanted. My career was ruined by the last game and the subsequent injury, so I'm here to fix it.
The team is almost the same as last year, I'm glad to see everyone and I'm looking forward to getting back in shape. It's great to be back at Shircliff. I see that the pre-season training is tough, but the kids did a great job, so I'm excited to start training and get back to the pace of things", Phillips said on the official website of Sheffield United.
Phillips played three games for Sheffield last season and did not score a goal. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is 2.5 million euros. His contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2027.
