Kenyan athlete Faith Kipyegon has set a new world record in the 1500m race.
"Report" reports that the athlete achieved this at the "Diamond League" held in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
She set the record with a time of 3 minutes 48.58 seconds. The previous record also belonged to Kipyegon, who ran 3 minutes 49.04 seconds at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
It should be noted that the 31-year-old athlete is a three-time Olympic and world champion in the 1500m race. She also won a gold medal at the 5000m World Championships (2023).
