On August 5, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov held meetings with Azerbaijani athletes living abroad.
Idman.biz reports that wrestler Parviz Nasibov, who won silver medals at the Tokyo and Paris Summer Olympic Games and currently represents Ukraine, provided information about his future career during the meeting.
Rufat Baki (Israfilbeyov), who has been involved in professional boxing in the USA, despite living and fighting far from his homeland, has always held the Azerbaijani flag high and chose the nickname Baki for himself. It should be noted that Rufat Baki won 22 of the 24 fights he has had in his career.
Minister Farid Gayibov highly appreciated the successes of both athletes in the international arena and wished them success in their future activities.
