Olympic medalist and six-time world champion Swedish skier Ebba Andersson has revealed that she broke off and lost part of the silver medal she won in the skiathlon at the Winter Olympics.

"It was idiotic. I chased Frida, and the medal fell in the snow and broke in two. Now I hope the organizers have a plan B for broken medals.
I thought, "Why? It was idiotic." Then we tried to fix it, and one of the three pieces flew completely in a different direction and fell somewhere. In the end, we gave up," SVT quotes Andersson as saying.
