71 athletes from Azerbaijan will participate in the 32nd Summer World University Games, which will be held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany from July 16 to 27.
Idman.biz reports that the first sports delegation has left for Germany today.
The competitions will be held in Bochum, Essen, Duisburg, Mülheim and Hagen, which are part of the Rhine-Ruhr region, as well as in the capital Berlin.
Azerbaijan will be represented in 12 sports at the competition (athletics, badminton, archery, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, canoe and rowing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo and fencing).
The opening ceremony of the tournament will take place on July 16, and the closing ceremony will take place on the 27th of the month in Duisburg.
