Teenage judokas from Karabakh and East Zangezur tested their strength in the regional championship - PHOTO

The Karabakh and East Zangezur regional championships among U-14 and U-17 teenagers were held on September 16.

Idman.biz reports that 42 judokas from Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Barda, Tartar, and Lachin competed in the tournament.

At the competition held in the Aghdam Olympic Sports Complex, the winners and prize-winners in 9 weight categories were determined.

It should be noted that the purpose of holding regional championships is to form a base of teenage judokas and to determine athletes who will participate in the national championship based on quotas. Also, the U-17 championships provide important ranking points for selection to the national team.
