The European Cup among youth has started in Istanbul, Turkey.
İdman.biz reports that Azerbaijani judokas have added 3 medals to their assets on the first day of the competition.
Nizami Imranov, who competed in the 66 kg weight category, won the gold medal by being superior to all his opponents. He defeated Dilshodbek Hamroyev from Uzbekistan in the final.
In the 60 kg weight category, two of our athletes took third place. Nihad Mamishov and Farid Garayev, although they lost in the semi-finals, did not miss their chance to win bronze.
It should be noted that our country is represented by 38 judokas in the tournament.
