The Azerbaijani national team completed the European Judo Championship among youth held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, with 3 medals.
İdman.biz reports with reference to the press service of the Judo Federation that on the first day of the competition, Nihad Mamishov (60 kg) and Muhammad Musayev (66 kg) won gold medals by defeating all their opponents.
Nizami Imranov (66 kg) completed the tournament with a bronze medal.
Nihad Mamishov, who was a 2-time world champion among juniors, won the gold medal of the European Championship for the first time in his career. Muhammad Musayev made history as the first European champion of Azerbaijan in the 66 kg weight category among young people.
Another remarkable achievement was Nizami Imranov's winning a medal at the continental tournament for the third year in a row.
It should be noted that Farid Garayev (60 kg) finished the competition in 5th place, and Abil Yusubov in 7th place.
With 2 gold and 1 bronze medals in its assets, the Azerbaijani national team took first place among boys in the competition of 43 countries.
